Word 4 Today December 7, 2011

Some of you might disagree with what I’m saying about fear and rejection, and that’s okay.  This message goes out to those that feel what I described yesterday.  Maybe you don’t know what to do about it except stay trapped in a pattern of repetition, monotony, and boredom, with little joy or optimism. If you’re afraid to step out, well, let me encourage you.  The key ingredient of excitement is—guess what?  Apprehension, accompanied with a little bit of fear.  Remember your first date, graduation day, or the first time you had to speak before a group of people?  What about a job interview or promotion at work?  What about your wedding day, or your first baby?  These are but a few examples of situations that made you feel apprehensive, but at the same time made you feel very excited. Do not fear, O Jacob My servant,” says the Lord, “For I am with you.” (Jer. 46:28).

God, if You fill our hearts, then fear has no place to make a home in it.  The storms in life might blow around us, but with God with us, we have absolutely no reason to be apprehensive or fearful.

You guessed it—“If God be for us, who can be against us?”
