Word 4 Today December 1, 2011

I am so encouraged by you because you are the goodness that comes from God.  I pray that early in life, you learned to listen to God.  When God tells you to do something, it’s best to say, “Yes, Father, I would be glad to because I know that You love me and want to give me Your very best.”  With God, you don’t have to struggle for acceptance or be frustrated or unhappy.  Know that God loves you no matter what (He knows you’re not perfect).  It’s so good to know that God always meets you right where you are, shows you the right direction to go in life, and takes your hand and leads you to happiness and victory.

We live in a world that expects a lot from us, but don’t get frustrated or impatient when things don’t go your way or happen as quickly as you would like.  Be patient and know God is never in a hurry; getting good things takes time.  Nothing of any real or lasting value comes without time (it takes time for a clam to make a pearl, it takes time for a caterpillar to become a butterfly, and it takes time for a tree to make fruit), but the wait’s well worth it.  Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it” (Mark 10:15).

There is so little hope in the world today; Lord, I pray I learn to put my trust in You.  Nothing else will do.  I know that if I put my trust in You, everything will fall into place.  Regardless of what is going on around me, I will believe!

Trusting God requires child-like faith—nothing else will do!
