Word 4 Today November 26, 2011

God reveals Himself to all people, whether they have access to the Bible and regardless of where they live.  He has programmed into the conscience of every human being the basic distinction of knowing right from wrong.  He clearly demonstrates all of His power and attributes through the creation of Heaven and earth.  When people stand before God, they will be judged by the amount of truth they have been exposed to, how many opportunities they had to accept that truth, and what they did with that truth once they received it.  Now all of mankind is without excuse, so the question is what are we prepared to do with it?  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.  For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse” (Rom. 1:18–20).

Dear Lord, if we look as close as our heart, there is no doubt that You exist.  We cannot look around us and deny the fact that You are the Creator of all things.  We can’t look at our physical bodies and not understand that someone greater than evolution created it.  We cannot look to the cross and deny Your love for all mankind.  Lord, we are without excuse.  Sometimes we think we know far more than we do; we try to rationalize or deny Your power.  We leave You out of our lives, our family, our country, our world.  Forgive us, Father, for sometimes we know not what we do.

Divine revelation was designed with you in mind.
