Word 4 Today November 18, 2011

We were created in Heaven and sent here to do what God has called us to do.  How many of us understand that, and how many apply it to any given day?  He did not create us to do whatever we thought was in our best interest, or design us to be self-centered.  We were born to give, born to love, and sent to be a blessing to others.  Know that He has created and uniquely designed you with a specific plan and purpose, and that purpose is not self.  It is only by reaching out and loving that you will ever be able to enjoy life as God has intended. The reason you are here is to do the will of God on earth, and when your work here on earth is done here is a promise.  In My Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2–3).

Dear Lord, that verse in John certainly does not sound like an afterthought.  Our eternal home has already been prepared; therefore, we can trust that You will return to get us.  Lord, all You do is for the glory of God, and God is good.  Thank You, Lord, for being there for me, for taking care of me, and for providing all I need not only through today, but through eternity.

Hang in until it’s time to move in!
