JESUS HIMSELF RELIED ON GOD’S POWER!

The Apostle Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  (Phil. 4:13)  Does this mean you are to do all things and then rely on God to find strength?  No.  It means you are to do the things you believe God wants you to do, and only then can you rely on His supply of power.  I can of Myself do nothing.  As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent me” (John 5:30).

PRAYER FOR TODAY

The power of God is the greatest power of the universe.  Our conquests of each other, our wealth and fame, all amount to very little in the end.  Material things have no permanence, but God’s Spirit is eternal.  Everything worthwhile in the world is a result of God’s Spirit.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

He who conquers himself is greater than he who conquers a city!
