Word 4 Today September 19, 2011

None of us are immune to difficulties!  Jesus said; “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33 – See, even trusting the Lord does not isolate us from problems, however going through these difficulties can be a great benefit in our refinement process.  God promises to work on our behalf no matter what problems we might be facing, regardless of the circumstances that develop or the reasons for them, God will work in our particular situations for good if we love and trust Him.  (Rom. 8:28).

A little hard to swallow all of this tribulation stuff but in my heart I know it is for my own good.  Jesus Himself was about to go to the Cross, the ultimate tribulation, yet He said “Be of good cheer.”  He obeyed His Father despite all of the conflict that was coming His way.  Lord we will never be asked to overcome that kind of difficulty, but we will be asked to put our faith and trust in You.

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”… copy Him!
