Word 4 Today September 7, 2011

All of the joys of Christian living, as well as Gods mercy and forgiveness hinge on the principle of eternal salvation.  Ask yourself, when Christ died, which of your sins did He die for?  Which of your sins were forgiven when you trusted Him as Savior? Can the sins you commit after becoming a Christian cancel your relationship with the Savior?  Deal with the fact that in God’s heart and mind, forgiven is forgiven and because of the permanency of this promise, we are assured of eternal security.  The Boy Scout motto is “Always be prepared.”  We never know when our time will come so wouldn’t it be wise to be ready?

If you are not sure you are saved, why not make sure now. Pray, “God I know that I am a sinner.  I know my sin will keep me eternally separated from you. I believe Christ died in my place on the cross and I accept his death as full payment for my sin.  I accept you as my Savior.  Thank you for saving me and at this moment in time assuring my eternal security, in Jesus’ name, Amen”.  Now nothing can separate you from the love of God. (Rom. 8:37-39).

What if today is your last day, will you be ready?
