Word 4 Today August 12, 2011

The future looks dark no more, that thing I managed to lose or misplace has come home to me.  I have found my hope.  Hope is like a little spark, and all I need is that little spark to start a flame that will burn forever.  Others need hope; everybody needs a word to hang on to when their world seems to be falling apart.  One spark of hope, one glimmer is all that’s needed.  I can do this; I can light the fire under others and myself.  I can fan a flame that will last a lifetime.  Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.  See how great a forest a little fire kindles.  James 3:5 It’s the same with hope; one word can light a bright future.

Lord, I am trusting that the response to my prayers is on the way.  I may not have it in my hands yet, but hope gives me the reason to believe they are on the way.  Hope is so small, yet larger than many of the gifts You have given.  You know what can happen to the man or women with hope.

C’mon hope, light my fire!
