Word 4 Today August 3, 2011

What are you doing this week?  Having fun?  Taking a trip or just taking it easy?  That’s great but while we are on our journey or just staying at home, why don’t we try something a little different today.  Lets get up every morning and make it a priority to bless someone today.  Learn to be an encourager, not a discourager.  Look for a reason to build people up, not to tear them down.  Catch people doing something right and let them know about it.  The opportunities are everywhere: in the grocery store, in the bank, at work, or at a restaurant. Let people know how much you appreciate them.  A word of encouragement will go a long way.  Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.  For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.  But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.  Ecclesiastes 4:9,10

We never know who is hurting or in need of a kind word, so go out and make a difference, make the world a better place because you were there.  Start at home; encourage your wife, your children and your neighbors.  We all know people who suck the life out of us, don’t be one of those.  May we train ourselves to be encouragers today?

Who are you encouraging today?
