Word 4 Today June 26, 2011

There is a proper time for everything.  I must learn not to do things at the wrong time, that is, before I am ready or the conditions are right.  It’s always a temptation to do something at once, instead of waiting until the proper time.  Timing is important and I must learn, in the little daily situations of life, to delay action until I am sure I am doing the right thing at the right time.  In the big things we might ask for God’s guidance, but in the small situations of life we rush alone.  To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.  Ecclesiastes 3:1

Lord, even in the little decisions I have to make today, let me make sure I go to You first then wait for the right timing.  It may be confronting a co-worker or asking the boss for a raise.  It may be in the decision to purchase something. Whatever it is, there is a right time for everything and I ask for patience to wait for that time.

Timing is everything no matter how small.
