Word 4 Today June 2, 2011

We cannot say we believe in God and keep our selfish ways.  The gradual elimination of selfishness in the growth and love of God and our fellow human beings should be our primary goal in life.  At first we only have a faint likeness to the divine, but little by little, as we grow in the likeness of God, we will see the power of His grace at work in our lives.  But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works,” show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.  James 2:18

The power of God’s grace, Lord, there is nothing in life like it.  May we get out of ourselves by taking and extending that grace to those around us?  Everyone we know needs grace.  May I be the channel in which it is given?

We may know something but if we don’t use it, it’s useless.
