The Bible gives convincing evidence that we can enjoy freedom and acceptance in our life from our Creator when we recognize who we are in Him.  This is an offer He has made to every believer.  Instead of accepting our new identity in Him, most of us operate on “performance based acceptance.”  This can be paralyzing.  He wants to freely welcome each one of us in, not based on how good or bad we are.  He loves us with His indescribable love and grace.  Our Holy God makes it clear; all of our righteousness is like filthy rags before Him, so all we can do is count on His righteousness, not ours.  Our faith in Him is counted for righteousness.  For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.  Romans 11:29

But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend from heaven?’ (That is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “Who will descend into the abyss?'” (That is, to bring Christ up from the dead).  But what does it say?  “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture says, “whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:6-11 Dear Lord it’s all poured out from the top to the bottom, thank You.

Faith is a gift, righteousness is a gift, mercy is a gift, salvation a gift, all from God… once you receive them, and God won’t take them back!  They’re irrevocable.
