Word 4 Today April 28, 2011

WHAT RESULT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

What kinds of words are framing your thinking?  Every word we speak will determine where we go, and who we will become.  If we change our words, we can change the direction of our lives.  Here’s how it works.  Our THOUGHTS determine our WORDS – Our words determine our EMOTIONS (How we feel) – Our emotions determine our DECISIONS – Our decisions determine our actions.  Our ACTIONS (What we do) become our CHARACTER (who we are), and will ultimately lead us to our DESTINATION.

So if we don’t like our destination, we need to back up and start changing the words that are framing our thinking.  Recently my wife and I started with a word of the day.  We took our first good thought in the morning and turned it into a word, such as, healthy, content, optimistic, blessed, or joyful.  These words are like seeds that are planted into our hearts, they set the tone for the rest of the day.  It’s a fact that positive words (seeds) produce positive results. Negative words (seeds) produce negative results.  Whatever you put out comes back in kind, so be careful what you say because it’s critically contagious.  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.  Proverbs 18:21

PRAYER 4 TODAY

Dear Lord, if there is one thing we do pretty well and that is complaining.  Lord, guard my mouth and do not allow me to manifest my own destiny.  Let Your words be my words and my words be Yours.

THOUGHT 4 TODAY

The answers to most of life’s problems are right under your nose (Your words).
