I cannot begin to tell you how often I thank God for His wonderful grace and mercy.  He has a marvelous plan for all of you but unfortunately, you will never find it until you are willing to give God first place in your life.  You say;  “Well I go to church occasionally and pick up my Bible every now and then, and I always pray when I need help.”  How it must grieve God when we behave that way.  Imagine how you would feel, regardless of who you are, a father, mother, wife, child or even just a friend if you were acknowledged briefly and occasionally. What if you got up in the morning and your husband or wife, didn’t say good morning, or you went to bed without saying goodnight?  What if your kids came home from school and walked right past you, how would you feel?  What if the only time your family ever spoke to, or listened to you was on Sunday morning for an about hour, or only when they needed something?  Well that’s how most people treat God.  Solomon, the wealthiest man who ever lived said in The Book of Ecclesiastes, 2:11 – Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done…and indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind.

Heavenly Father, remind me that the most useful and productive times of my day are the times I spend with You.  I can accomplish 1000 times more with You, than without You, so why do I spend so little time with You?

Solomon had it all; he was on top of the world’s ladder of success, only to find it leaning against the wrong wall.  Only when we acknowledge and walk through life with God do we find ultimate meaning.
