Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.  Romans 5:1

Justification is God’s way by which sinful human beings are made acceptable to a Holy God.  God, who said that sinful man, was “without excuse” in Romans 1-20 made him “free from sin.”  Having been set free from sin, you have become slaves of righteousness. Romans 6-18 How was this accomplished?

When you placed your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted His death on the cross as payment for your sin, you were spared the penalty of death, and found “not guilty” of sin.  For the first time, you probably came to the realization that your works were not sufficient to save you and only God could justify you.  You made the decision to put your life in God’s hands. If Justification were God’s way of making sinful man acceptable, then Righteousness would be the result of God’s free gift.  How can we, who were born with the sin nature, be considered blameless before God?  The Bible tells us in Romans chap: 5 vs. 5-12 that sin entered through one man’s disobedience (Adam), but through one man’s obedience (Jesus) we were made Right before God, now therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans chap 8 vs. 1-2

Father, thank You for providing the way to pay my sin debt in full, and thank You for giving me the power and wisdom I need to live a life that’s right with You.  I understand that although I have been made right in Your eyes, I must continue to stay fit by practicing and exercising my faith and developing self – control.  Today, I know I can do all things through You.

God has made us right however, staying fit requires effort on our part.
