Self-control says, even when things are not going our way we will still choose to do good where we can. We may not be able to change every circumstance, but if we can take one positive action, something good is going to happen. We might never know the impact that one simple act of self-control might create, but we choose to act anyway.  We know and are assured that the outcome achieved by displaying self-control will not only deliver us from evil, but allow others to be delivered as well.  Self-control is always a choice and the sooner we choose to control our behavior the better off we are going to be.  God has provided every single believer with the power of self-control, it is up to us however, to use it.  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.  James 3:17

Father we are so grateful to You for providing us with the nine fruits of the Spirit, which are: Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  May I use these gifts as weapons to do well and fight against any evil that comes my way.  In Jesus’ name, Amen

How different would life be if we became a basket for all this good fruit?
