Word 4 Today March 7, 2011

What is it we need most of in life?  A sense of belonging and being loved for who we are.  This is best demonstrated when we feel taken care of and protected.  All troubles and difficulties need is a refuge: a place to relax, lay down burdens and get relief from cares.  God is that refuge, and we should say it over and over until that truth sinks down to the deepest part of our being.  Say it over and over again until you are sure of it.  Say it until you are certain nothing can upset you or make you afraid if God is truly your refuge.  God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, therefore we will not fear… Psalm 46:1-2

I pray I feel deeply secure in God’s protective and everlasting arms.  I will go into each day confidently, knowing fear will leave me and peace and security will take its place if I put my trust in Him.

Sheltering arms express loving protection.
