Word 4 Today January 16, 2011

God is your physician and your healer.  Go to Him when you are tired and weary and rest until eternal life flows through your veins, your heart, and your mind.  The strength of God is always available to the tired mind, body, and spirit, but rest must come from quiet communion with Him.  Look to these times as the cure, and then rise refreshed and invigorated, knowing that you now have the strength to meet any problems because you have been restored by God’s awesome power.  Tired work is never effective, and joyful work can only be accomplished through quiet times of communion with Him.  Pray through the day in gentle whispers that can only be heard by God, and be filled with wonderful peace that says everything’s going to be all right.  He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:29-31

I pray the peace I have found in times of quiet communion and prayer will make me effective in all I do.  May Your peace relieve me of any strain during this day.

Only spiritual principles will solve my problems.  I become truly strong only when I depend on His strength.
