Proverbs 26:28 – A lying tongue hates those who are crushed by it, and a flattering mouth works ruin. You might feel by lying to, or falsely flattering someone, you are getting away with something, and for a short while you might.  In the long run however, nothing devastates a person more than finding out you lied to them.  The truth is, when you lie you do not honestly love the other person, and you always end up hurting yourself more than the person you lied to.

Confession and repentance of sin is one of God’s greatest gifts to us.  God gave us the ability to confess, not as a means of punishing us, but as a means of setting us free.  At some point we will all hurt somebody, and whether or not it’s intentional we need to go to God and ask Him to forgive you and then be sure to forgive yourself… we all make mistakes.

Confess wrong, no matter how small!
