Word 4 Today November 15, 2010

Proverbs 14:30 (Amp) – A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones.  Nowhere in the Bible does it tell us to keep so busy, that we don’t have time for God.  As a matter of fact just the opposite is true in (Psalms 46:10) God clearly tells us…Be still and know that I am God.  Our personal time alone with God should be the priority of our lives.  If we start our day with Him, we will never be busy.

Dear Lord, sometimes I think too much.  The reality is there is not a whole lot I can do about most of the stuff that goes on around me.  I can’t change world events.  I can’t change other people.  Heck most of the time, I have a hard time changing myself.  Lord, I’ve been around the mountain so many times that I’m getting dizzy.  My mind is so cluttered sometimes with all that’s going on around me.  Give me focus, direction and peace today.

With God, you are never busy but always productive.
