Word 4 Today November 4, 2010

We make a big mistake when we limit God by equating prosperity with money alone; it is so much more than that.  To be prosperous means to:  Push forward, break out, come (mightily), go over, be good, be profitable, enjoy vigorous and healthy growth, flourishing, auspicious, favorable and marked by success and economic well being.  It is God who gives us the power and ability to prosper in every area of our life.  He gives us the power to become whole and complete.

In the Book of Joshua, chapter 1:8 God tell us how to prosper.  “This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in itFor then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Lord today let me be wise with the burdens of life.  Let me take all the cares from my hands and put them in Your mighty hand.  Let me leave my problems with You before they take me under.

When we do God’s will in God’s way with God’s help, no one and nothing can stand in the way of our success.  The key is the presence of the Lord.
