Word 4 Today November 1, 2010

I’m a firm believer that its Gods will that we enjoy the life He has created for us.  Life is a gift yet, there are so many people who choose to live outside of Gods will by being anxious and worried.  Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.  Philippians 4:6 (Amplified Bible) Notice the verse does not say, “Worry about everything” or “think the worst in every situation.”  God did not give you the assignment of worrying, He did however give you the assignment of praying.  He knows that when we focus on our problems, the bigger our problems get, but when we focus through prayer on God, the bigger He gets.  God is bigger than all our problems.

As believers in Christ, God has everything working for us, though at the moment it may seem to be going against us.  Lord, remind us that just because we can’t always see what You are doing, we must believe that You are working out our situation for good.

Remember, It’s not our job to worry – it’s our job to pray
